PARIS, FRANCE - 10 MARCH 2009
Stella McCartney can always reply upon the unfailing support of her dad Paul when she presents a new collection, and Monday was no exception.

The former Beatle was front row when she unveiled her new ready to wear designs in Paris this week.

"I think every woman has two sides, the yin and the yang, the man and the woman," explained the designer, whose autumn/winter looks include black, white and emerald silk evening gowns with see-through panels of black and silvery lace. Other highlights from the collection include purple and black jersey bodysuits and tight sweater-dresses.
.
Models, who in typical Stella style had been encouraged to smile on the runway - the fashion norm is smile-free in order to ensure attention is focused entirely on the clothes - also showcased boyfriend blazers and double-breasted jackets in red and black checks.
.
Stella's dad was joined by his American businesswoman girlfriend Nancy Shevell, who had opted for a navy dress from Stella's collection for the occasion.
.
As the finale parade came down the catwalk to the strains of Paul's hits, The Long And Winding Road, the pair joined the celeb audience in a standing ovation.
.
Other famous faces -Salma Hayek
Other famous faces at the show included recently married actress Salma Hayek and her billionaire husband Francois-Henri Pinault, Hollywood beauty Thandie Newton and Monaco royal Charlotte Casiraghi.
.
St ella's demure creations were a sharp contrast to the unusual designs on display at the Manish Arora show.
The exuberant Indian designer unveiled a collection of elaborately decorated and embroidered coats, dresses and tunics inspired by the Amazonian rainforest, the plains of Africa and Indian jungle.
.
Brightly coloured prints featured pink giraffes, flying dolphins and exotic insects. Showing on the same day was Yves Saint Laurent. Black leather was a key look in the French fashion label's vision for next season, fashioned into wrap-coats, tailored dungarees, and strapless bodies. Another key look was white cotton poplin blouses teamed with pencil skirts.
